Anti-Capitalist and Climate Activists blocked traffic on Nevada Highway 447; the road into the Burning Man Festival, on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, causing a massive road block standstill spanning several miles on this major thoroughfare in Nevada, before Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Rangers arrested them at gunpoint for Trespassing on Tribal Land.
The Group blocking the highway called Seven Circles; state that the protest was designed to draw attention to “Capitalism’s inability to address climate’s ecological breakdown”, and was meant as a protest against the “Popularization of Burning Man among affluent people who do not live the stated values of Burning Man.”
One thing the Climate Activists failed to recognized, is their protest was on Indian Tribal Land, and that the Rangers from the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police Department of Nevada, do not appreciate protestors blocking their state highways.
